John B's Irish/Pop Group
This two- four piece band who write, record and perform
their own original music as well as rockin' versions
of their favorite Irish songs and cover tunes.
Three of them were born in Dublin, Ireland, one hails
from the Motor City, and all are now based in Los Angeles. Their
music Popular cover tunes blended with pop melodies
and harmonies with an aggressive edge and a traditional
Irish flavor to create an exciting new sound. Their
lyrics are heartfelt and thought provoking.
They have have recorded 10 original songs at the prestigious
A & M Studios in Hollywood. These songs have been
released on their original CD, "Scrapbook".
They have also recorded a live CD at O Brien’s
Irish Pub in Santa Monica featuring their versions
of Irish classics. Currently they are recording a new
original CD which will be released soon.
Their live shows have been packing clubs and pubs
around LA from The Roxy and The Whiskey on the Sunset
Strip in Hollywood to the jam packed Irish bars in
Santa Monica. They have developed a reputation
as a fun, entertaining and energetic live band. With
many years of experience they make a fast paced, tight
show look easy. They have taken their live shows
on the road all over California and to Europe and left
satisfied audiences on both continents.
At the request of Johnny Depp they performed with
Shane McGowan of THE POGUES at the infamous Viper Room
in Hollywood on opening night with Tom Petty and the
Heartbreakers, Maria McKee and others. They have
performed at Oscar winners parties and wrap parties
in Hollywood. John's band has also represented Ireland
on the International Starsearch hosted by Ed McMahon
and won 1st place in front of an international TV audience
of several million people.
